Who builds this
It started with a spreadsheet that kept breaking.
Food businesses here run the whole day on cash, wallet transfers and trust: the money that comes in at the counter, the money that goes out, the people who are owed at the end of the month. One of them was doing all of it through three linked spreadsheet workbooks, with broken formulas in the closing sheet that nobody could trace. I rebuilt that properly, and the rest of these products came from the same place: watching somebody do a job by hand at the end of a long day.
I specify the system and make the architecture calls, and we build it with a small team. I would rather ship one screen that a cashier can use at 1am than a demo that looks good in a deck.
